Work Type: Internship

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Embedded Engineer Intern to work closely with our Embedded Systems and IoT team. The intern will be involved across the full lifecycle of IoT projects — from early-stage R&D and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to field deployment and go-live support.

This role is hands-on and execution-focused, ideal for candidates looking to gain real-world exposure to industrial IoT systems beyond academic projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in R&D and POC development for IoT and embedded hardware projects
2. Support embedded firmware development and testing on platforms such as ESP32, STM32, Arduino, or similar MCUs
3. Help integrate sensors, communication modules (GPS, GSM, BLE, Wi-Fi), and peripherals
4. Participate in hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation activities
5. Support end-to-end project execution from prototype to go-live deployments
6. Work with senior engineers on documentation, testing plans, and deployment checklists
7. Conduct technical research on components, modules, and design approaches for new use cases
8. Assist in field trials, issue analysis, and iterative improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields
2. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Embedded C / C
3. Familiarity with at least one embedded platform (ESP32, STM32, Arduino, etc.)
4. Understanding of microcontroller fundamentals, GPIO, timers, interrupts, and serial communication
5. Exposure to basic electronics, sensors, and hardware interfacing
6. Willingness to work in a hands-on, in-office engineering environment

Good to Have

1. Experience with IoT-based academic or personal projects
2. Familiarity with tools like STM32CubeMX, Keil, Arduino IDE, or similar
3. Basic understanding of communication protocols (UART, I2C, SPI)
4. Exposure to Python for scripting, testing, or automation
5. Interest in working on industrial, real-world hardware systems

What You Will Gain

1. Exposure to production-grade IoT and embedded systems
2. Understanding of how hardware products move from R&D to real deployments
3. Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, ops, firmware)
4. Mentorship from experienced embedded and IoT engineers
5. Strong foundation for a career in embedded systems, IoT, or hardware product engineering
